Portsmouth City Council Commission. 2014
To create artwork for the refurbished Cumberland House Natural History Museum in Southsea, Hampshire, based on workshops with Craneswater, Paulsgrove and Beacon Hill Primary School children. Using the museums’ specimens as inspiration and observational drawing workshops with KS1 children, artworks were developed using only paper, glue and text. The result was a selection of displays such as sculptural birds in cases, a butterfly wall installation, artist books containing stories and poems, bird boxes and suspended mobiles. |
