Andover Town Centre Public Art Commission/Encounters Project 2015
Test Valley Borough Council Test Valley Borough Council commissioned Encounters Arts to run a project that engaged communities in Andover in thinking about the town. Over 1,000 people visited the Encounters Shop and left their stories, thoughts, vision and creative collages about Andover and their lives in the town. This information is being used to shape a vision for the town for the future, and to feed into a programme of public art events for the Town Centre. One of the outcomes of the project was to translate the specific desires of the community and outcomes of the Encounters Shop into a high quality and meaningful designs to be used for post cards and bunting to be displayed annually in Andover High Street. |
