'Haptic Narratives' 2015
Installation and Artists' Book 'Space Interrupted' Exhibition, Fort Brockhurst, English Heritage, Portsmouth. Artist Book. Limited edition of 4. Signed and numbered. 22 x 18.5 cms Concertina on somerset paper with double loose covers. Print, stitch and burnt holes. 'Haptic Narratives' formed part of an installation based on researched artefacts originally from The Grange, Northington which are currently stored at English Heritage's special reserves collection at Fort Brockhurst. This historic building has undergone many changes but was initially built to defend the mainland during the Napoleonic Wars. The installation consisted of an artist book, a table of archived research material, furniture from the special reserves collection, as well as an additional layer of commissioned work made by invited artists in response to the retelling of research: Artist/Noriko Suzuki-Bosco, Poet/Stephen Boyce and Writer/Roger Bratchell.
