Each print in this series was made in response to a recent residency at Chelsea Physic Garden while at the Royal College of Art. Using a process called Phytography, images were made using expired film and a direct contact method using the inner chemistry of plants. Each print has been hand developed in a darkroom, using a different homemade plant developer sourced from Chelsea Physic Garden. As a result, each one has a different tone as well as showing the marks of making which are a character of the work.
Exhibited at 'WAAITT' Exhibition, Easter Gallery, Hackney, London. 2023.
